WWAV to Host Social Mixer and Story Circle for Transgender Women, Part of New Emerge Project!

Announcing: GIRLS WITH A PEARL

girlshandbill
Girls With a Pearl is a bimonthly social mixer and safe space for transgender women. Join WWAV for conversation, dinner, and story sharing as we mix it up to talk about how to be healthy in our relationships.
Why Girls With a Pearl?
“The ideal pearl is perfectly round and smooth, but many other shapes of pearls occur. The finest quality natural pearls have been highly valued as gemstones and objects of beauty for many centuries, and because of this, the word pearl has become a metaphor for something very rare, fine, admirable, and valuable.”
Often transgender women find themselves living in two worlds, many times struggling to find their way through a new life. Through it all transgender women can emerge, rise up and claim their space. In 2014, Women With A Vision launched our Emerge Project, a focus on holistic healing for women, and women building healthy relationships and strong communities together.
Girls With a Pearl is a safe space for transgender women to share stories. Please spread the word about our first event of the year!
