This Sunday, WWAV’s Executive Director, Deon Haywood, will be joining Ari Melber, co-host of MSNBC’s “The Cycle;” Seema Iyer, Legal Contributor at Arise News; and Christina Beltrán, Associate Professor of Social and Cultural Analysis at NYU, on the Melissa Harris-Perry show at 10am EST. This panel has been brought together following several important issues that affect women’s incarceration, including Marissa Alexander being granted a new trial and the recent announcement of a New York initiative to establish special courts to handle prostitution cases.
