Want to be a part of a night that will make history?
On September 10th, 2016, Women With A Vision, Inc., Lift Louisiana, the National Council of Jewish Women New Orleans, and Tulane University’s “If When How Chapter” are hosting an All Access Concert Live Streaming Party in New Orleans, where we will be watching live streamed performances from the All Access Concert at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland, OH.
The live-streaming party in New Orleans will also be an opportunity to hear from diverse community partners working to protect and expand reproductive rights, freedom, justice, and equity. Speakers include Councilwoman LaToya Cantrell, Dr. Joia Crear-Perry, Reverend Darcy Roake, and Women With A Vision’s Director of Policy & Advocacy Nia Weeks.
All Access is made possible by the collaboration of organizations working for reproductive health, rights, and justice. Bringing together people who believe in personal decisions and bodily autonomy, and working collaboratively to build a stronger movement for abortion access, this is a moment in time to celebrate our victories and to garner strength to continue to fight for access. All Access events are being coordinated across the country – click here to find one near you. Moreover, All Access isn’t just a concert, it’s a powerful cultural event that will work to unite people of all ages, racial, and gender identities to expand our access to abortion and celebrate our collective power.
As WWAV wrote about earlier this year, the Supreme Court made a landmark decision this summer upholding a woman’s constitutional right to make decisions about her reproductive health. At WWAV we understand that when access is denied to all women in our state, Black women, poor women, and other marginalized groups of women are the most vulnerable. While the Supreme Court victory alleviated some hurdles and barriers that marginalized women face regarding abortion access, we understand that it is only a step in reproductive healthcare for our community as a whole. We still have a lot of work to do to secure reproductive justice for our folks!
Join us in working to make abortion access a reality!
