Join WWAV in Working to Prevent Overdoses!

OD_awareness_day_190At Women With a Vision, we stand in solidarity with all who have lost a loved one to drug overdose. So many of these deaths are preventable, and our communities need access to the tools and information to save lives.
The recent death of the respected and well-loved actor Philip Seymour Hoffman was a wake-up call for many: about how much harder we have to fight for access to Naloxone, for immunity from arrest and prosecution for calling 911, and for information that can help people stay alive if they use drugs.
Please join us in standing with people who are struggling with addiction, and affirming the value and dignity of everyone in our communities. Join us in asking Louisiana politicians to pass a 911 Good Samaritan law, and if you have lost a love one to drug overdose and want to share your story, please contact us at 504.301.0428.
