Join WWAV in Supporting Lez Network and Lela Logan @ "'Girls on Fire' for Breast Cancer," Sunday October 27th, 2013

On Sunday October 27th, 2013 from 7pm to 11pm at Cafe Istanbul, Lez Network and Lela Logan are hosting “‘Girls on Fire’ for Breast Cancer,” an evening of music and poetry to raise awareness about the reality of breast cancer in the lesbian community.

Lela Logan is a breast cancer survivor who knows first hand how important it is to bring awareness and support. All of us at WWAV couldn’t agree more.  Over our twenty-two year history, we’ve seen how often issues of breast health go undiscussed amidst the many other personal and structural health issues that lesbians face.

That’s why we’ll be out in force, lending OUR support to Lez Network and Lela as they work to disseminate vital information on women’s health and breast cancer to our community.

Proceeds from the event go to Breast Cancer Awareness.
