Deon Haywood to Speak at NYU's "Theory on the Ground"

Women With A Vision’s Executive Director Deon Haywood will be speaking at “Theory on the ground: religion and spirituality repressing and redeeming the struggles for justice,” an NYU Center for Religion and Media event Thursday, November 5th at 6pm at 20 Cooper Square, 4th floor. The conversation will center on ways religion, race, gender, and sexuality intersect in the battle to resist state violence.

The event features Josef Sorett (Columbia University), Nyle Fort (Princeton University), and Deon Haywood (Women With a Vision, Inc.). Laura McTighe (Columbia University) will be moderating. You can read more about each of the guests here.
More information is available online here and through the Facebook event page here.
