Deon Haywood on How WWAV Does Our Work

On February 20, 2013, SPARK Reproductive Justice Now hosted their 6th Annual Legislate THIS! – Women of Color Reclaiming & Rebuilding the South.
WWAV’s own Deon Haywood was one of the featured speakers, and she shared some powerful stories about the history and legacy of WWAV and how we do “the work.”
Check out the video below!
Legislate THIS! is the public policy arm of the Speak Justice Take Action (SJTA) Program of SPARK Reproductive Justice NOW. The objective of Legislate THIS! is to engage in a multidimensional and coordinated on-the-ground strategy for social transformation that is informed by our lived experiences and designed to realize our right to make sustainable and liberatory decisions about our bodies, genders, sexualities, families, and lives within the context of public policy making and best practices.
