In 1989, a grassroots collective of African American women came together in response to the spread of HIV/AIDS in the African American community forming what would come to be known as Women With A Vision, Inc. Over the last 25 years, WWAV has become New Orleans’ premier women’s health organization combining service and advocacy to address the social conditions and injustices that impact our city’s most marginalized women.
Join us in celebrating our history of relentless advocacy for women of color and other marginalized groups at our 25th Anniversary Celebration and Fundraiser this DECEMBER 14th, 2014!
WHAT: WWAV is celebrating 25 years honoring our foremothers and paving the way toward the future. Join us for an evening commemorating a quarter century of service and advocacy for the health and well-being of women and their families across New Orleans.
Featuring an array of performances from female musicians and artists across the city! Plus dinner, speakers, and a special tribute to WWAV’s founding mothers!
