With the one year anniversary of the aggravated arson attack on our office quickly approaching, we want to reach out in thanks to all of our supporters – our friends, our families, our allies – for helping to see us through this hard time and to rise again like the phoenixes we are.
It has been a hard year for us, most especially because being without an office has made it harder for us to gather in fellowship with the local, national and international communities of women who make up WWAV.
Being in community with people is who we are at WWAV. It’s why we are allowed in spaces most can’t enter, but providing them with a safe non-judgmental space is key to building power and making change. This is why purchasing Vision House was necessary. It’s proof that you can make it even after experiencing acts of violence.
These are just a few of our many memories from our old space on N. Jeff Davis. Here’s to an even bigger and better future at our new Vision House!
