Starting January 2012, WWAV is a proud partner of LSU’s Louisiana Breast & Cervical Health Program (LBCHP). LBCHP is part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (NBCCEDP), which is active in all 50 US states, as well as US territories and tribal organizations. LBCHP’s goal is to prevent unnecessary disease, disability or premature death due to cancer of the breast and cervix in Louisianan women. To accomplish this goal, LBCHP provides quality, no-cost, breast and cervical cancer early detection services to un- or under-insured, low and moderate-income Louisianan women aged 40 or over. Special emphasis is given to reaching women who rarely or never receive screening services.
Wow! I am so glad I found this site. This is awesome. I support everything ya’ll do!
Plus, I haven’t had a pap smear in about 3 or 4 years and because I have some irregular pap smears and I have had biopsies(all neg for cancer, thank God!). I should pap smears every 6 months. I’ve never had a mammogram. In fact the last time I had a pap smear was in 2008 while I was in LCIW.
I am 47 yrs old and I am in recovery from long term drug addiction. I start classes at Delgado on Monday, Jan. 23, 2012. I will be in class on Mon, Wed, & Fri. Please send more information so I can get a screening with LSU’s screening process hopefully on a Tues or Thurs.
