Our Space
Our Space is a new initiative of Women With A Vision. Its mission is to offer safe, respectful, free of judgment spaces for women and girls impacted by the sex trade and street economies to recognize and develop their goals, dreams and desires. We also hope to use Our Space to foster community building and strategic action within the queer women’s and transgender communities in New Orleans.

Social Justice and Popular Education
- Workshops on grassroots organizing
- Workshops on queer political history in New Orleans
- Potentially partnering with SONG to launch an organizing school in NOLA
- Anti-oppression workshops (i.e. racism, sexism, transphobia, homophobia)
Self Care and Harm Reduction
- Safer Sex workshops
- Sessions that present critical issues of lesbian/queer women’s health
- Workshops to address internalized homophobia/transphobia
- Workshops that create space to talk about issues of mental and emotional well being
