Support the work of WWAV this GiveNOLA day (5.5.15)! 


This coming Tuesday May 5th is #GiveNOLA Day! Hosted by the Greater New Orleans Foundation, GiveNOLA Day is the community’s one-day, online giving event to inspire people to give to the nonprofit organizations that make our region a stronger and more thriving community for all. The more votes WWAV gets, the better chance we have to win!

Wondering where your money goes? Check out the breakdown below!

$10 will purchase a meal for one of our homeless clients
$20 will purchase notebooks and workbooks for client sessions
$50 will go towards professional development and education enrichment for clients (ex: GED application fees, college application fees, workshop registration, etc.)
$75 will purchase school clothing for our clients’ children
$100 will purchase an emergency hotel room for a victim of domestic violence
$100+ will go towards supporting our various programs with the most urgent need for funds, such as our Diversion Program and Women’s Re-entry Program

WWAV is eligible to win additional prizes in the small organization category if we:

1. Raise the most money in our category, we get an additional $10,000!!

2. Receive donations from the largest number of unique supporters, we get an additional $10,000!!

The goal of GiveNOLA Day is to inspire the community to come together for 24 hours and contribute online, raising as many dollars as possible to support our local nonprofit organizations. Please consider donating even just $10, and asking friends and family to help support WWAV!
